what to look for in summer ...

A little tin man nipping down winding country lanes, grasses waving, trees bending back down to greet the daisies and ladybirds,

the gentle sun shining through pretty candle sticks the colour of gentle skies,

transferring little rainbows from the sky to our little cottage, shimmering like fairy wings, waving on the walls and floor like washed out roses on faded bedding hanging on the line, dancing slightly this way and that when the breeze chooses,

and if you're summer is anything like ours keep a look out for that pesky red arrow swirling in its bubble home, playing, teasing, tic-tac-toe, where will it land, I think we know!

* a dripping tune keeps everything in tune *

You have such pretty things! We're having a ton of rain here too.

Over here in New York, we are also looking for our sturdy umbrellas, to handle wind and rain. And keeping an eye on the weekly farmers greenmarkets to see when this year's local produce will progress beyond lettuce.

Should be berry time soon, but I yearn for the first tomatoes.

I do like the light through your window! xo

I love the Ladybird book with the same title! It's an escape when the days are dull! I think we're going to have some summer this weekend! ;-) x

This week we had tropical temperatures, it was too hot to do anything at all! Yesterday we had real bad weather, with lots and lots of thunder and lightening. So today it has been nice and cool. Hopefully summer will return soon.
Loved to read your post.
Take care.
