Cath K Cupboard

Look what I found in CK Winchester, tucked up high on a shelf looking so pretty in the cold January light. It was my birthday early Jan, and with pennies in my pockets and Cath K lovelies in my dreams I dropped my boys off in the book shop and mooched in the flowery wonderland, picking things up, gasping, sighing, transporting myself to a pretty rambling farm house, Maybe the one from land girls the tv series not the film, with big dressers and an old square sink, flowers in jugs and jam jars, pastel coloured china filled with home made jam and scones, tea and eiderdowns, (that would be a great blog name!) oh lovely!

this is my little cupboard laying sleepily on our bed, the light high above and the panels from our little cottage window reflecting in the thick fat glass, I love vintage mirrors, if you hold a penny next to the glass the further away the reflection the older the mirror, as newer ones use a thinner glass, I like mine vinatage-y old, and thick, cut like a wedge of good cheese!

here's inside. My little cupboard sits now in a corner of our bedroom on top of a chest of drawers filled with make up, perfume, shells and bits of vintage jewellery, everything a Fliss may need early in the morning to perk her up, and try and hide the bags under her eyes! I just need to find two minutes between babies and five year olds to take more photos!

Its so hot here in Hampshire, wandering around bare foot I stepped on a moth today by mistake, it was sitting on our kitchen floor wings stretched out, still as deep water, I don't really like moths much, but I can't help thinking how soft it felt under my big clumsy feet and I really felt sorry for squashing it, I couldn't press down on my foot for the rest of the day.

Love your little cupboard, it's very very sweet. It's warm over here today too, hopefully it will cool off again soon.

It's a sweet cupboard - and your dream home is very similar to mine, although I would also like to have mullioned windows!

Your little cupboard is just wonderful ~ what a great find! Yes, I think "tea and eiderdowns" would be a great blog name:)! I just wanted to say how much I enjoy your lovely blog, and have passed on a "Versatile Blogger" award to you, but am not sure if you'd like it? I won't be at all offended if you'd rather not, but just wanted you to know how much I enjoy your blog! Love Brenda
